A Beautiful House: Indwelling Of God

I am very excited to get up in the inside and share what God is laying in my heart just this minute. And guess what? He is always on time.

The beauty of the house we live in pleases man, whereas the beauty of the heart pleases God more. Look at what God said in 1st Samuel 16:7;

But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lordlooketh on the heart.

God advises us that he sees what no one else can see. He said that our heart flows springs of life. This means that our beautiful house & home is not a guarantee for lives benefit. It is possible that we have invested everything to have a beautiful house but have invested nothing to have a beautiful heart for God.  Some of us have a unforgiving heart, a bitter heart, a heart of garbage and many more. Realize that you do not look good as an unbeliever.  It is only when we receive God that everything else is deemed beautiful.  We can’t have a better life with a ugly heart. We must purge ourselves of everything hindering us from shining bright like Christ.

The true paint that is colourful and attractive is the heart hospitality (nature) and the light that emanates therefrom.

It is possible also that most gates are shut. There is no entry. You have opened your gates to everyone except God.  So whereas people come in and eat, dance, interact, play until you see them again, the only person restricted entry is God.  Now then what? A person sees himself living a life without God.  Living a life that is against the principles and commands of God.  It is not okay.  Let us be true to our selves.  Do you feel beautiful in the inside?

God is pleading and requesting an entry into the heart of his children. We ought not just to believe in him, but to accept him as our personal Lord and Saviour, & to welcome him into our hearts. The heart is his dwelling place. Shouldn’t we beautify it? Oh Yes, Yes and yes, the heart is where he loves to be.  It is the first place he looks at as he examines the life we are living.

How then can we beautify our hearts? Should we buy some paint and colour it to shine bright? Or should we reveal our chest to him so he gain access to the heart? Should we open the door of our heart to God to enter?

Open the door to God.  Release yourself, break that chain, take away the dirty posters on your hearts wall, be free of guilt of sin and satanic bondage.  Satan loves us to adorn our physical only.  But God is more exalted with the true beauty & nature of the heart.

There are few things we should do to ourselves namely:

(1) Confession of Sins & Repentance:

The book of 1 John 1:9 reveals that if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and purify is from all unrighteousness.

Our prayer of confession releases God’s mercy upon us. Our Heavenly Father does not want us to hide our iniquities from him, he is so merciful. He encourages us to come to him in confession and repentance and turn completely to him.

The Bible teaches us in Romans 10:10, that it is with our heart that we believe and are justified, and it is with our mouth that we profess our faith and are saved.

We have been justified by the grace of God through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Therefore, if you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

A True Believe in God and accepting him in our heart through prayer. This prayer must be done in humility, submissiveness and reverence unto God.

(2). Studying the word of God: This is light and food to transform our being/inner mind. This is a medium to prosperity and good success.  I love this.  It is certainly a everyday medicine other than bread.  Indeed, man shall not live on bread alone but in every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.

The word of God is what we need for a spiritual life renewal. The word of God is beauty- peace, comfort, & life.  God admonishes that the word he gives to us is  spirit and life (John 6:23).  The word of God is light that overshadows darkness.  It is our ammunition in the warfare against all principalities, rulers of darkness, and powers of evil in the high places.

The word of God speaks the gospel truth, and unveils the schemes of Satan.  The word of God is the best counsel and engine boat to movement & survival.

(3). Activating the power of the Holy Spirit within us.

The Holy Spirit has been in existence since creation.  Everything created is by the mighty power and works of the Holy Spirit.  And he was manifest in the resurrection of Jesus.  Oh Lord have mercy.  Let’s look at it this way, through our Heavenly Father, the Holy Spirit caused Jesus Christ to resurrect from dead.  Now, can imagine this power for a minute, and then pause and take mind back to how your inner house will (mind/heart) look having activated the Holy Spirit to do great and mighty works from within.  This is not a joke.  The Holy Spirit is evident everywhere whispering Hello! Am here! Use me! I am here for you! Listen to me! Don’t trash me! God Loves you.  Can I direct you.  A true discerning spirit allows us to decipher the voice and whispers of the Holy Spirit.  It is through a total passion & study to/of God’s Word that you begin to understand when and how of the Holy Spirit & his presence.

I love to tell you this, many months ago, the Holy Spirit kept whispering and Infact yelling to me to do a particular thing, it was God himself directing me.  But you know what, I didn’t listen and I went on living right and in my mind I was great not knowing that I have failed to listen to my inner mind powered by the Holy Spirit.  So months later, events played out and I began to clearly see what it was that  God was trying to say.  I took some visions and revelations for granted.  It is not a joke anymore to me.  I can no longer smile in the dark, I must stand and declare God’s Word for light to overwhelm as a watch man.

What am I actually saying to you? The Holy Spirit shows working – miraculous things- brings to pass God’s will for your life.  We all need the power of the Holy Spirit to live victoriously.

(4). The Strategic Chain:

Faith in God – Prayer – Worship – Intercession – Pray in Tongues – Forgiveness – Walk in Righteousness

(5). Living a Christ-like life: Following God’s Standard and the character of Jesus. Being an overcomer to sin.  Look at what I found in Colossians 3: 5-8

Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.

God is saying that we have the will-power to live a life according to his will.  He tells us to flee from iniquity.  Look at what he is saying in Matthew 7:21-23:

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

(6) Living & fulfilling the conditions that unlocks God’s promises:

We ought to delight ourselves in God and he will grant us the desires of our heart.

(7) Daily renewing your commitment with God and fueling your soul with the word of God.

(8) Declaration of God’s Word over your life and Abiding in him

(9) Extending your hands of fellowship/reaching out to God’s people/ winning souls for Christ/ expressing God’s love everywhere you go.

(10) A heart of sacrifice, thanksgiving, praise & Testimony.

Joy cometh in the morning.

Will you please study Hebrews 12 with me?

Thank you for listening.

Thank you Lord.  To you be all the Glory.
