The Father’s Gift

Title: The Father’s Gift

Key Scripture: John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Growing up as a believer, a certain man used to love Jesus so much and afraid of the Father.  He actually thought the Father is one mean man out there, and his son Jesus is the nice guy who loved him.

Then, he kept reading the words of Jesus – “I and my father are one”, if you see me you have seen my father. (John 10:30, John 14:9).  As he grew in the faith, he began to understand that Jesus is the express image of the Father. Everything that he loved in Jesus, the Bible records that Jesus got it from “His Father”.

Colossians 1:15 expresses that everything about God dwells in Jesus.  He that hath seen Jesus, hath seen the Father. (John 14:9).

God is a good God.  You need to get acquainted with your Heavenly Father.  The person that planned your redemption actually was God.  He is the one that loves you.

What is the father’s gift?  The Father’s Gift is the Gift of the only begotten Son of God. He so loved the world that he gave us his only begotten Son, whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  This gift contains so much resources and inheritance of the saints.

Prayer

Our Father in Heaven, thank you for not withholding your perfect gift from me.

Action Point or Confession

I receive Jesus as my personal Lord and Saviour.  I have the best “Gift of Jesus Christ” now indwelling in me.  Christ in me, the hope of Glory. Amen!
